Here at First United Methodist, we believe that teaching kids to love and be loved is important. We think that the Bible should never be boring and we can have loads of fun while learning! We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their everyday lives, learn to talk with Him, and build encouraging friendships that will last. Through our kid's ministry we do just that through Sunday School, Wednesday ministries, and special events and programs.
Nursery 9:15AM - 11:45PM
Our loving caretakers are available for your children, 8 weeks - 4 yrs, while you participate in Adult Discipleship on Sunday mornings.
Sunday School 9:30 AM -10:30 AM
(2yrs - 4yrs) Children love to explore! In our preschool classes, we teach about who God is, how much He loves your child(ren), and about the wonderful things He has made. Children will hear a Bible story and learn to apply and live out the message in concrete and age-appropriate ways. Classes are held in the Children’s Building, Building 1.
(Kindergarten-5th Grade) Through the teaching of Orange’s 252 BASICS curriculum and resources, your child(ren) will be invited to discover vibrant truths of Jesus, be exposed to what having a relationship with God is all about, and be taught how to live out faith in the God who created them. Small groups meet in the Children’s Building, Building 1.
(5 years - 2nd Grade) Kids Church is held during the 10:30 AM service. Children are dismissed by announcement from the service and led to room 110 in Children's Building, Building 1, for a fun, energetic time of worship and learning. They will be taught about people of the Bible and how the God of the Bible wants to be involved in their lives today just as He was in theirs long ago.

When kids begin to see themselves the same way that Jesus sees them, then real confidence begins to take root and grow. Through our VBS, we want kids to know they are known. They belong. They are forgiven. They can change. They can make a difference. REGISTER HERE through KidCheck.
