DIRECTOR OF MISSIONS & OUTREACH

First Methodist Church of Albany is seeking a full-time Director of Missions & Outreach to lead our lead and develop our missions ministry.


As our Director of Missions & Outreach, you will supervise Sunday Evening with Our Neighbors, our weekly ministry that serves 100-150 of our food-insecure neighbors, and our monthly Ministry Assistance Ministry. You will plan opportunities for our members to serve through mission trips, disaster relief, and other local avenues of outreach and ministry.


The ideal candidate for this position is a committed Christian who feels called to mission and outreach ministry. This individual will embrace Wesleyan doctrine and possess interpersonal and leadership skills. Experience in ministry with mission & outreach is desirable.

DIRECTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES

First Methodist Church of Albany is seeking a full-time Director of Student Ministries to lead our growing student ministry comprised of over 120 students (grades 6-12), equip adult and student leaders for ministry, and guide our church in reaching students for Christ in our community.


As our Director of Student Ministries, you will work with a world-class staff team and passionate, faithful church members who are enthusiastic about guiding students to grow as Spirit-filled, mature disciples of Jesus Christ. You will plan weekly ministry, retreats, mission trips, and other discipleship events.


The ideal candidate for this position is a mature, committed Christian with a call to student ministry. This individual will embrace Wesleyan doctrine and demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and ministry skills. Prior experience in student ministries is highly desired.

DIRECTOR OF PRESCHOOL MINISTRIES

First Methodist Church of Albany is seeking a Christ-centered person who supports children in the development of their relationship with God and one who is energetic and creative with a heart and passion for preschoolers and their families. 

 

Job responsibilities include managing staff and directing and overseeing daily activities of the preschool program. Specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal attributes, including experience in administration, knowledge of principles of child development, preferably a background in education, and excellence in organizational, supervisory, communication, and accommodation skills. Computer skills that support bookkeeping, word processing, and communication are also needed.  Resumes may be submitted by April 10.
