The Salvation Army plays a vital role, offering food and shelter to those who would otherwise be living on the streets.
The Anchorage is a faith-based ministry that helps men overcome alcohol and drug dependencies through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Anchorage began after one of our own church Sunday School classes sought to help someone with alcoholism and discovered the need for a Christ-based treatment program here in Southwest Georgia. Plans are underway to offer the same services to women at a separate residential facility.
The ministry of Juan de Dios Pena, Bishop of the Methodist Church in El Salvador.
As a child in Ahuachapán, El Salvador, Bishop Juan was sponsored by a Christian aid ministry. That sponsorship not only changed his life but the lives of many others through his mission projects. We have a growing partnership with Bishop Juan through foreign mission trips, child sponsorships and more.
